Nate Nate Nate! - February 15, 2008
If you've been to any of our recent shows you might have noticed someone new up on stage with us. Allen has decided to work on other projects and we wish him all the best - see you at a show soon, AB! So with Allen stepping down, we'd like for you to meet Nate! Nathan Bagheri is an awesome guitar player that has really stepped up to the plate - he's picked up all of our tunes in no time at all and is rocking out with us at the shows. Welcome to the band, Nate! We're glad to have you!
Also, I think we need to give a huge thanks to our buddy, Matt Hope on the saxophone! Matt has been stepping our shows up with his mad skills for about a year now and we love having him on the stage with us - so, thanks Matt!
Hope to see you at a show soon! We'll be looking for you!
Exciting Shows This Fall - November 3, 2007
Hello people! It's November and that's completely freaking me out. Only two months left in '07 - guess we better make the most of it. I like to sit around in the morning when I'm trying to wake up and look around at bands on the net. One of my favorite bands from around here is the Hosty Duo. Not only are they amazing musicians, but they're hilarious! So, go get yourself a taste of their blogs on their myspace page and you will most certainly want to go check out a show...
www.myspace.com/hostyduo...
Now, back to us. Tonight we are getting to play with another one of our favorite bands - Aranda! We're roadtrippin' up to Wichita and playing with them at Loft 150. Should be a crazy fun night.
Next week, we will be heading to Colorado to play in a music festival in Denver called the Colorado Music Summit! How fun is that! Right now, the plan is we are loading up in an RV and heading down the highway - that sounds fun and ridiculous all at the same time. ReVeL in an RV just sounds like a whole lotta trouble to me. We'll see. Anyone up for a road trip?
Summertime...and the livin' is easy... - June 28, 2007
Well, we're fired for not keeping up with this part of our website - sorry folks for making you see the same thing every time you log on! We'll try to do better...we have been writing a lot of new material lately - which I am happy to report. We get together and shoot them out like crazy. Now, if they're good or not - you'll have to be the judge - but, we like them! Maybe they still have that new-song smell and that's why we like them so much...or maybe they're actually the goods!!! It's mid-summer. Oklahoma is like a rainforest. It rains every day and when it's not raining, it's so humid you feel like you need to strap on scuba gear to breathe. It's glorious! We have a show this Friday - ya tomorrow - at Belle Isle Brewery. This place rocks. We love playing there. Wanna come out? Good times will be had. Yes. Good times will be had indeed. So, see you there, k? Until next time...
March Bandness - March 3, 2007
We've been selected to be one of the 64 bands in 94.7 The Buzz's March Bandness this year! So, I hope all of you go to
www.947thebuzz.com and vote for ReVeL!! It's a pretty cool competition and we're stoked we were chosen! So, please support us and keep voting for us all month so we can be in the Final Four to compete live!
We played Belle Isle Brewery last night with Mitch Bell sitting in on guitar and Matt Hope sitting in on saxophone. It was an awesome night and it was great seeing so many familiar faces out in the crowd. Thanks for coming out and for making it such a great night! We're looking forward to playing there again soon.
Until next time...keep supporting local original music!! Take it from us working musicians - having people like you out there supporting us makes it all worth while!
2007 - January 24, 2007
Here's a little tribute to the Ice Storm of 2007. May you melt away and never come back!!! Freakin' ice. Oklahoma City has been a little piece of Siberia for what seems like forever now. It's too cold. If I wanted this kind of cold I would live in Alaska. Yes, I know it could be a lot colder, like in Boston where the high on Friday is supposed to be 10 degrees. I understand this. I'm just wanting some Hawaii type weather right now - really dang bad. Oh, wait, I'm supposed to be giving band news - ok - many thanks to our friend Matt Hope who has been sitting in from time to time on saxophone. It's been such a cool vibe with him at the shows - I know he'll be jamming with us again very soon. Looks like for St. Patty's Day ReVeL might have three shows in one day! Man! That's going to be one helluva day! Get ready for that one team! Other than that - nothing too new to share - except that I can finally see my driveway again since the ice is starting to slowly melt away - and that brings me more joy than you'll ever know.
Happy Holidays from ReVeL - December 17, 2006
It's hard to believe the year is coming to a close! It's been a great year for us - we finished our CD and had an incredible CD release party, we played great shows with some great bands and we met some amazing people along the way. If you're reading this, you are probably one of those people! We just want to say thank you for coming out and supporting us at shows, thanks for buying our CD, pretty much thanks for making 2006 an amazing year! We are hoping to make 2007 even better - so we hope you want to come along for the ride! Happy Holidays! We'll see you next year...
Thanks Mitch! - October 30, 2006
Just want to say a huge thank you to our good friend Mitch Bell for playing with us this month! Mitch, it's been a blast - thanks for jumping in with us!! And, by the way, you looked awesome as Slash at the Halloween party last night!!
Busy Busy Busy... - October 17, 2006
So, I was just thinking about all the stuff that's happened since the last update - and I'm definitely behind in keeping anyone that reads our website in the loop! So, for the two of you (I'm being optimistic), here we go...Since the crazy 2am/ReveL-fest at the Brewery we have: 1.) Been played on Jack & Ron on 98.9, 2.) Made our CD available for purchase on iTunes, & 3.) Been on TV for the Locker Room Sports Show on Fox! Not bad, right? We try to keep ourselves as occupied as possible - most of the time. OK, so technically we all missed the Jack & Ron thing because we didn't know they were going to play us (and most musicians miss morning shows on the radio - zzzzz) and we were really motivated to play on the TV show because it gave us an excuse to go to Norman and drink swirls at The Mont, but hey, whatever gets the job done, right? It's a tough job, but somebody's gotta do it. So, there's the update - we've got a lot of shows coming up in the next couple of weeks - be there!
hmmm...that was interesting - September 27, 2006
Last Friday night we put on a show at the Brewery w/ 2AM - let's just say this - it's hard being the second band in that show - not because of the crowd - thanks, by the way for all you faithful folks who stayed and had some fun with us - but, because whoever goes first makes a point to shower the second band with lots of love. I won't get into it - but, let's just say that 2AM had a large tab at the end of the night. Guys, we get to go first next month!
September was a light month - you could say we went on a diet after the crazy August we had - but, October picks up - shows in Tulsa, Norman and of course OKC - we'll have some special guests on stage, we'll be playing with some other great Oklahoma bands - and of course we'll have the monthly 2AM/ReVeL party!
Groups to check out: Colourmusic from Stillwater, Lisa Curl from OKC, & Gooding from Wichita, KS (Gooding's a killer regional act that comes through the area regularly). Support live music, people!!!!
Thank You!! - August 20, 2006
Thanks to all of you that came out this past Friday night to our CD Release Party!! It meant a lot to us that you were there supporting us, supporting live music, and being a part of a very special night! Thanks to 2AM and Congress of a Crow for sharing the stage with us - you guys rocked it! So, we hope those of you that bought the CD are enjoying it - let us know what you think! For those of you that don't have one - you can buy CDs at our shows for the time being, but very soon they will be available right here on our website - so stay tuned! Thanks again for making the party Friday one to remember!!
CD RELEASE PARTY! - July 25, 2006
That's right!!! We've finally set a date and made this sucker official! So, you are officially invited to join us celebrate the release of our CD titled "Forever and Six Conversations"! The party will take place Friday, August 18th at the Bricktown Brewery in OKC. Doors will open around 9 or 9:30 and ReVeL will perform from 10 to 11. We will then hang out and celebrate with all you fine people while being entertained by two amazing bands - and our very good friends - 2AM and Congress of a Crow. Does that sound like a great night or what??!! So, the CD's finished and we are gonna have one big blow out to celebrate it - hope you can join us!!
Update! - July 5, 2006
Sorry we go so long without adding anything to this page!! I'm going to try harder. We've been crazy busy the past month or so. We're really trying to step it up and get our CD finished, and the good news is that we're very close!! Mixing is almost finished, then just a couple more steps before we have it ready for all you fine people! With the CD came other little things, like new pics - which we'll be able to show you soon - and shows shows shows! Thanks to all of you that come out to see us play and support us - you're the reason we get to do this!! We've got a show this Friday, July 7th at Tapwerks - maybe we'll see you there!
Great Bands - May 31, 2006
Broken Record - May 24, 2006
I think I've written this a million times on this website, but, SERIOUSLY this time, the CD is SO close to being finished!!! I mean, we are in the final, final stages now. We decided to add a couple more songs that have become our favorites to perform, so that set us back a bit, but I think it was worth it to have those songs on the CD. We can't wait to have this thing done and out there for all of you to hear! Our friend, Paige Harwell of Soundpaige Productions, has been incredible throughout the entire recording process - for anyone looking to lay down some tracks you should definitely consider using him - he's the goods. Got a couple shows this week: Frank and I are entertaining the gamblers again at Remington Park on Thursday and then Friday the band's rockin' at Tapwerks in Bricktown - come have a brew and listen to our tunes!!! Have a great Memorial Day weekend - don't do any stupid tricks on the lakes - like diving into shallow water or getting eaten by a 300 lb. alligator gar...
On The Road Again - April 22, 2006
...just can't wait to get on the road again...headin' back to Wichita - ah ya...can't wait to see all of you up there! No house parties this time though...oh well...we'll have to save it for next trip...see you soon! Rock'n'roll baby...

We've got some shows coming up in the near future with some incredible local bands. If you haven't checked out these bands, you really need to! Next week we're playing with Ballista, go to our links page and check out their website - great guys! Did I fall from a 3rd Floor Balcony? - February 16, 2006

Back Home From La-La-Land - January 26, 2006
For the past week the guys have all been in L.A. listening to music, checking out the latest and greatest in music gear and I don't even know what else. They left me behind to hold down the fort while they were probably up to no good on the west coast. I haven't seen them since they got back in town - they'll probably sleep for two solid days - and wake up just in time for our show on Friday night. Guys, I hope everyone got back in one piece - and, Allen, I hope you're able to air out your van before our Wichita trip next month because I'm sure it's nasty right now!!! Two great shows this week at Bricktown Brewery and Tapwerks - hope to see some of you fine people out! - Carrie
2006 - January 9, 2006
seems like these days you blink and another year has gone by - can't seem to get used to how fast time flies past...2006 is here and we are fired up...the new year came and it was like someone kicked us in the butts and told us to get movin'! so, yesterday we had official "band pictures" taken by our good friend, Hugo Maybin. so, now we are a real group - we have pictures. that makes it complete. we are camping out in the studio getting that cd finished that we've been working on for a billion years now. we are getting more and more dates booked as we go along and are planning some awesome shows with other local bands including 2am, Hannah Wolff, 13 Stars and more...so, keep checking in and hey, come out and see us in '06! happy new year, everyone!
